The operational headquarters of Karelia has banned publication of information on unmanned aerial vehicle
The ban also applies to distribution of photo and video materials about the location of the Russian Ministry of Defense facilities, communications systems, fuel and energy complex facilities, bridges, and other critically important and potentially dangerous facilities on the territory of Karelia.
In order to ensure the safety of the region residents, the Karelian operational headquarters has prohibited the publication and distribution of photo and video materials that could reveal the locations of the forces and assets of the Russian Ministry of Defense, types of military equipment. The restrictions also apply to the posting of information about the location of communication systems, fuel and energy facilities, bridges, industrial and defense industry facilities, housing and communal services, and other critically important and potentially dangerous facilities in Karelia.
The publication and dissemination of information about the possible use and consequences of the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in the republic, including the information that may indicate their type, location, flight path, attacked objects and the facts of UAV destruction, are also prohibited.
The decision of the Karelian operational headquarters stipulates that the bans do not apply to the work of the authorized government bodies. The specified materials can be posted by the mass media established by the executive bodies and local government bodies of the region, including their accounts and official pages on social networks.
Violators may be subject to penalties for failure to comply with established restrictions.
Any information about UAV flights or their crash sites must be reported by calling 112 or by calling the duty service of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Karelia at 78-52-03.
